TEXT 17

acetana paḍiyāchena,--yena kuṣmāṇḍa-phala
bāhire jaḍimā, antare ānanda-vihvala

SYNONYMS

acetana—unconscious; paḍiyāchena—was lying down; yena—as if; kuṣmāṇḍa-phala—a pumpkin; bāhire—externally; jaḍimā—complete inertia; antare—within; ānanda-vihvala—overwhelmed with transcendental bliss.

TRANSLATION

As the Lord lay there unconscious, His body resembled a large pumpkin. Externally He was completely inert, but within He felt overwhelming transcendental bliss.
