- phalena phala-kāraṇam anumīyate
SYNONYMS
phalena—by the result; phala-kāraṇam—the origin of the result; anumīyate—one can guess.
TRANSLATION
By seeing a result, one can understand the cause of that result.'

This verse is from the doctrines of nyāya, or logic.
