- nigama-kalpa-taror galitaṁ phalaṁ
- śuka-mukhād amṛta-drava-saṁyutam
- pibata bhāgavataṁ rasam ālayaṁ
- muhur aho rasikā bhuvi bhāvukāḥ
SYNONYMS
nigama-kalpa-taroḥ — of the Vedic literature, which is like a desire tree; galitam — completely ripened; phalam — fruit (which has come down without being distorted); śuka-mukhāt — from the mouth of Śukadeva Gosvāmī; amṛta — which is like nectar; drava-saṁyutam — mixed with juice; pibata — just drink; bhāgavatam — Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam; rasam ālayam — the reservoir of all mellows; muhuḥ — constantly; aho — O; rasikāḥ — intelligent devotees who relish transcendental humors; bhuvi — in this world; bhāvukāḥ — thoughtful.
TRANSLATION
"'The Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam is the essence of all Vedic literatures, and it is considered the ripened fruit of the wish-fulfilling tree of Vedic knowledge. It has been sweetened by emanating from the mouth of Śukadeva Gosvāmī. You who are thoughtful and who relish mellows should always try to taste this ripened fruit.
