veṇu-śabda śuni' āmi gelāṅa vṛndāvana
dekhi,—goṣṭhe veṇu bājāya vrajendra-nandana


SYNONYMS

veṇu-śabda — the vibration of the flute; śuni — after hearing; āmi — I; gelāṅa — went; vṛndāvana — to Vṛndāvana; dekhi — I saw; goṣṭhe — in the pasturing field; veṇu — the flute; bājāya — played; vrajendra-nandana — Kṛṣṇa, the son of Nanda Mahārāja.


TRANSLATION

"After hearing the vibration of a flute, I went to Vṛndāvana, and there I saw that Kṛṣṇa, the son of Mahārāja Nanda, was playing on His flute in the pasturing grounds.
