iṅhāra ye jyeṣṭha-bhrātā, nāma—‘sanātana’
pṛthivīte vijña-vara nāhi tāṅra sama


SYNONYMS

iṅhāra—of Śrīla Rūpa Gosvāmī; ye—who; jyeṣṭha-bhrātā—the elder brother; nāma—named; sanātana—Sanātana Gosvāmī; pṛthivīte—on the surface of the world; vijña-vara—most learned; nāhi—there is none; tāṅra sama—equal to him.


TRANSLATION

Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu said, “Śrīla Rūpa Gosvāmī’s elder brother, whose name is Sanātana Gosvāmī, is such a wise and learned scholar that no one is equal to him.”
