Sometimes the critics of Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam find it difficult to find Rādhārāṇī's holy name, but the secret is disclosed here in the word ārādhitaḥ, from which the name Rādhā has come. Of course, the name of Rādhārāṇī is directly mentioned in other Purāṇas. This gopī's worship of Kṛṣṇa is topmost, and therefore Her name is Rādhā, or the topmost worshiper. #/div# #/div# please wait#div class="mw-parser-output"# #h4##span class="mw-headline" id="TEXT_100"#TEXT 100#/span##/h4# #div class="verse"# #dl##dd#anayārādhito nūnaṁ#/dd# #dd#bhagavān harir īśvaraḥ#/dd# #dd#yan no vihāya govindaḥ#/dd# #dd#prīto yām anayad rahaḥ#/dd##/dl# #/div# #h4##span class="mw-headline" id="SYNONYMS"#SYNONYMS#/span##/h4# #div class="synonyms"# #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=anayā&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#anayā#/i# — by Her; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=ārādhitaḥ&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#ārādhitaḥ#/i# — worshiped; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=nūnam&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#nūnam#/i# — indeed; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=bhagavān&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#bhagavān#/i# — the Supreme Personality of Godhead; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=hariḥ&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#hariḥ#/i# — Kṛṣṇa; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=īśvaraḥ&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#īśvaraḥ#/i# — the Lord; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=yat&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#yat#/i# — from which; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=naḥ&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#naḥ#/i# — us; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=vihāya&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#vihāya#/i# — rejecting; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=govindaḥ&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#govindaḥ#/i# — Lord Śrī Kṛṣṇa; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=prītaḥ&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#prītaḥ#/i# — satisfied; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=yām&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#yām#/i# — whom; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=anayat&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#anayat#/i# — brought; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=rahaḥ&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#rahaḥ#/i# — a secluded place. #/div# #h4##span class="mw-headline" id="TRANSLATION"#TRANSLATION#/span##/h4# #div class="translation"# “[When the gopīs began to talk among themselves, they said:] ‘Dear friends, the gopī who has been taken away by Kṛṣṇa to a secluded place must have worshiped the Lord more than anyone else.’” #/div# #h4##span class="mw-headline" id="PURPORT"#PURPORT#/span##/h4# #div class="purport"# The name Rādhā is derived from this verse (SB 10.30.28), from the words #i#anayārādhitaḥ#/i#, meaning “by Her the Lord is worshiped.” Sometimes the critics of #i#Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam#/i# find it difficult to find Rādhārāṇī’s holy name in that book, but the secret is disclosed here in the word #i#ārādhita#/i#, from which the name Rādhā has come.
