Only misers desire to enjoy the fruit of their own work just to be further entangled in material bondage. Except for work in Kṛṣṇa consciousness, all activities are abominable because they continually bind the worker to the cycle of birth and death. One should therefore never desire to be the cause of work. Everything should be done in Kṛṣṇa consciousness for the satisfaction of Kṛṣṇa. Misers do not know how to utilize the assets of riches which they acquire by good fortune or by hard labor. One should spend all energies working in Kṛṣṇa consciousness, and that will make one's life successful. Like the misers, unfortunate persons do not employ their human energy in the service of the Lord. #/p# #/div# #/div# please wait#div class="mw-parser-output"# #h4##span class="mw-headline" id="TEXT_49"#TEXT 49#/span##span class="mw-editsection"##span class="mw-editsection-bracket"#[#/span#edit#span class="mw-editsection-bracket"#]#/span##/span##/h4# #div class="devanagari"# #dl##dd#दूरेण ह्यवरं कर्म बुद्धियोगाद्धनञ्जय ।#/dd# #dd#बुद्धौ शरणमन्विच्छ कृपणाः फलहेतवः ॥४९॥#/dd##/dl# #/div# #div class="verse"# #dl##dd#dūreṇa hy avaraṁ karma#/dd# #dd#buddhi-yogād dhanañjaya#/dd# #dd#buddhau śaraṇam anviccha#/dd# #dd#kṛpaṇāḥ phala-hetavaḥ#/dd##/dl# #/div# #h4##span class="mw-headline" id="SYNONYMS"#SYNONYMS#/span##span class="mw-editsection"##span class="mw-editsection-bracket"#[#/span#edit#span class="mw-editsection-bracket"#]#/span##/span##/h4# #div class="synonyms"# #p##i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=dūreṇa&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#dūreṇa#/i# — discard it at a long distance; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=hi&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#hi#/i# — certainly; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=avaram&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#avaram#/i# — abominable; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=karma&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#karma#/i# — activity; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=buddhi&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#buddhi-#a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=yogāt&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#yogāt#/i# — on the strength of Kṛṣṇa consciousness; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=dhanañjaya&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#dhanañjaya#/i# — O conqueror of wealth; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=buddhau&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#buddhau#/i# — in such consciousness; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=śaraṇam&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#śaraṇam#/i# — full surrender; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=anviccha&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#anviccha#/i# — try for; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=kṛpaṇāḥ&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#kṛpaṇāḥ#/i# — misers; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=phala&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#phala-#a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=hetavaḥ&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#hetavaḥ#/i# — those desiring fruitive results. #/p# #/div# #h4##span class="mw-headline" id="TRANSLATION"#TRANSLATION#/span##span class="mw-editsection"##span class="mw-editsection-bracket"#[#/span#edit#span class="mw-editsection-bracket"#]#/span##/span##/h4# #div class="translation"# #p#O Dhanañjaya, keep all abominable activities far distant by devotional service, and in that consciousness surrender unto the Lord.
