This is incorrect. According to this verse, if one develops the mode of ignorance, after his death he is degraded to the animal form of life. From there one has to again elevate himself, by evolutionary process, to come again to the human form of life. Therefore, those who are actually serious about human life should take to the mode of goodness and in good association transcend the modes and become situated in Kṛṣṇa consciousness. This is the aim of human life. Otherwise, there is no guarantee that the human being will again attain to the human status.#/div# please wait #h4##span class="mw-headline" id="TEXT_15"#TEXT 15#/span##/h4# #div class="devanagari"# #dl##dd#रजसि प्रलयं गत्वा कर्मसङ्गिषु जायते ।#/dd# #dd#तथा प्रलीनस्तमसि मूढयोनिषु जायते ॥१५॥#/dd##/dl# #/div# #div class="verse"# #dl##dd#rajasi pralayaṁ gatvā#/dd# #dd#karma-saṅgiṣu jāyate#/dd# #dd#tathā pralīnas tamasi#/dd# #dd#mūḍha-yoniṣu jāyate#/dd##/dl# #/div# #h4##span class="mw-headline" id="SYNONYMS"#SYNONYMS#/span##/h4# #div class="synonyms"# #p##i#rajasi#/i#—in passion; #i#pralayam#/i#—dissolution; #i#gatvā#/i#—attaining; #i#karma-saṅgiṣu#/i#—in the association of those engaged in fruitive activities; #i#jāyate#/i#—takes birth; #i#tathā#/i#—similarly; #i#pralīnaḥ#/i#—being dissolved; #i#tamasi#/i#—in ignorance; #i#mūḍha-yoniṣu#/i#—in animal species; #i#jāyate#/i#—takes birth. #/p# #/div# #h4##span class="mw-headline" id="TRANSLATION"#TRANSLATION#/span##/h4# #div class="translation"# #p#When one dies in the mode of passion, he takes birth among those engaged in fruitive activities; and when one dies in the mode of ignorance, he takes birth in the animal kingdom. #/p# #/div# #h4##span class="mw-headline" id="PURPORT"#PURPORT#/span##/h4# #div class="purport"# #p#Some people have the impression that when the soul reaches the platform of human life it never goes down again.
