This transcendental body means free from material affinity and invested with three primary transcendental qualities namely eternity without any tinge of the material modes and without any reaction of fruitive activities. The material body is always afflicted with the above mentioned three inebrieties and a devotee's body becomes at once surcharged with such transcendental qualities as soon as he is engaged in the devotional service of the Lord. It acts like magnetic influence of a touch stone upon iron. The influence of transcendental devotional service is like that. Therefore change of the body means stoppage of the reaction of three qualitative modes of material nature upon the person of a pure devotee and there are many instances like that in the revealed scriptures. Dhruva Maharaj and Prahlad Maharaj and many other devotees were able to see the Personality of Godhead face to face apparently in the same body. This means the quality of a devotee's body changes from material affinity to transcendence. That is the opinion of the authorised Goswamins in terms of authentic scriptures. In the Brahma Samhita it is said that beginning from the Indragopa germ up to the great Indra king of the heaven all living beings are subjected to the law of Karma and are bound to suffer and enjoy the fruitive results of their own work. But only the devotee is exempt from such reaction of Karma by the causeless mercy of the Supreme Authority Personality of Godhead. #/div# #/div# please wait#div class="mw-parser-output"##p class="mw-empty-elt"# #h4##span class="mw-headline" id="TEXT_28"#TEXT 28#/span##/h4# #div class="verse"# #dl##dd#prayujyamāne mayi tāṁ#/dd# #dd#śuddhāṁ bhāgavatīṁ tanum#/dd# #dd#ārabdha-karma-nirvāṇo#/dd# #dd#nyapatat pāñca-bhautikaḥ#/dd##/dl# #/div# #h4##span class="mw-headline" id="SYNONYMS"#SYNONYMS#/span##/h4# #div class="synonyms"# #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=prayujyamāne&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#prayujyamāne#/i# — having been awarded; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=mayi&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#mayi#/i# — on me; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=tām&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#tām#/i# — that; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=śuddhām&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#śuddhām#/i# — transcendental; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=bhāgavatīm&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#bhāgavatīm#/i# — fit for associating with the Personality of Godhead; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=tanum&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#tanum#/i# — body; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=ārabdha&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#ārabdha#/i# — acquired; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=karma&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#karma#/i# — fruitive work; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=nirvāṇaḥ&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#nirvāṇaḥ#/i# — prohibitive; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=nyapatat&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#nyapatat#/i# — quit; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=pāñca&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#pāñca-#a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=bhautikaḥ&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#bhautikaḥ#/i# — body made of five material elements. #/div# #h4##span class="mw-headline" id="TRANSLATION"#TRANSLATION#/span##/h4# #div class="translation"# Having been awarded a transcendental body befitting an associate of the Personality of Godhead, I quit the body made of five material elements, and thus all acquired fruitive results of work [karma] stopped. #/div# #h4##span class="mw-headline" id="PURPORT"#PURPORT#/span##/h4# #div class="purport"# Informed by the Personality of Godhead that he would be awarded a transcendental body befitting the Lord's association, Nārada got his spiritual body as soon as he quitted his material body.
