The Lord (Vishnu) incarnates Himself in each and every one of them and in each and every type of living societies. He manifests His transcendental pastimes amongst them just to create the mentality of going back to Godhead. The Lord does not change His original transcendental position but He appears to be differently manifested according to the particular time circumstances and society. #$p#Sometimes He incarnates Himself or empowers a suitable living being to act for Him but all the same the purpose is the same that the Lord wants the suffering living being to go back to home go back to Godhead. The happiness which the living beings are hankering after is not to be found within any corner of the innumerable universes and material planets. The eternal happiness which the living being wants is obtainable in the kingdom of God and the forgetful living beings under the influence of material modes have no information of the Kingdom of God. He therefore comes to propagate the message of the Kingdom of God either personally as an incarnation or through His bonafide representatives as the good son of God. Such incarnations or the sons of God are not only making propaganda of going Back to Godhead within human society but also the propaganda work in going on in all types of societies including demigods or those who are other than the human beings. #/div# Thus end the #b#Bhaktivedanta Purports#/b# of the First Canto-Second Chapter of Srimad Bhagwatam in the matter of Divinity and Devotional Service. #/div# please wait#div class="mw-parser-output"##p class="mw-empty-elt"# #h4##span class="mw-headline" id="TEXT_33"#TEXT 33#/span##/h4# #div class="verse"# #dl##dd#asau guṇamayair bhāvair#/dd# #dd#bhūta-sūkṣmendriyātmabhiḥ#/dd# #dd#sva-nirmiteṣu nirviṣṭo#/dd# #dd#bhuṅkte bhūteṣu tad-guṇān#/dd##/dl# #/div# #h4##span class="mw-headline" id="SYNONYMS"#SYNONYMS#/span##/h4# #div class="synonyms"# #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=asau&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#asau#/i# — that Paramātmā; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=guṇa&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#guṇa-#a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=mayaiḥ&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#mayaiḥ#/i# — influenced by the modes of nature; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=bhāvaiḥ&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#bhāvaiḥ#/i# — naturally; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=bhūta&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#bhūta#/i# — created; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=sūkṣma&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#sūkṣma#/i# — subtle; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=indriya&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#indriya#/i# — senses; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=ātmabhiḥ&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#ātmabhiḥ#/i# — by the living beings; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=sva&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#sva-#a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=nirmiteṣu&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#nirmiteṣu#/i# — in His own creation; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=nirviṣṭaḥ&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#nirviṣṭaḥ#/i# — entering; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=bhuṅkte&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#bhuṅkte#/i# — causes to enjoy; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=bhūteṣu&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#bhūteṣu#/i# — in the living entities; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=tat&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#tat-#a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=guṇān&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#guṇān#/i# — those modes of nature. #/div# #h4##span class="mw-headline" id="TRANSLATION"#TRANSLATION#/span##/h4# #div class="translation"# The Supersoul enters into the bodies of the created beings who are influenced by the modes of material nature and causes them to enjoy the effects of these modes by the subtle mind. #/div# #h4##span class="mw-headline" id="PURPORT"#PURPORT#/span##/h4# #div class="purport"# There are 8,400,000 species of living beings beginning from the highest intellectual being, Brahmā, down to the insignificant ant, and all of them are enjoying the material world according to the desires of the subtle mind and gross material body. The gross material body is based on the conditions of the subtle mind, and the senses are created according to the desire of the living being. The Lord as Paramātmā helps the living being to get material happiness because the living being is helpless in all respects in obtaining what he desires. He proposes, and the Lord disposes. In another sense, the living beings are parts and parcels of the Lord. They are therefore one with the Lord. In the #i#Bhagavad-gītā#/i# the living beings in all varieties of bodies have been claimed by the Lord as His sons. The sufferings and enjoyments of the sons are indirectly the sufferings and enjoyments of the father. Still the father is not in any way affected directly by the suffering and enjoyment of the sons. He is so kind that He constantly remains with the living being as Paramātmā and always tries to convert the living being towards the real happiness. #/div# #/div#
