All economic development of the state by trade, commerce, agriculture and industries, must be fully utilised in the matter of above principles otherwise all the so called economic development, becomes the source of degraded civilization. Cow protection means feeding the Brahminical culture which leads towards God-consciousness and thus perfection of human civilization achieved. The age of Kali aims at killing the above higher principles of life and although Maharaj Parikshit strongly resisted the domination of the personality of Kali within the world, the influence of the age of Kali infiltrated in an opportune moment and even a strong king like Maharaj Parikshit was induced to disregard the Brahminical culture by slight provocation of hunger and thirst. Maharaj Parikshit lamented the accidental incidence and he desired that all his kingdom strength and accumulation of wealth may be burnt up for not being engaged in the above mentioned three cultural affairs. #$p#Providentially also where wealth and strength are not engaged in the advancement of Brahminical culture, God consciousness and cow protection, such state or home is surely doomed. If we want at all peace and prosperity in the world, we may take lessons from this verse; every state and every home must endeavour to advance the cause of brahminical culture for self purification, God-consciousness for self-realisation and cow-protection for the matter of getting sufficient milk and derive the best food value thereof, and to continue a perfect civilization. #/div# #/div# please wait#div class="mw-parser-output"##p class="mw-empty-elt"# #h4##span class="mw-headline" id="TEXT_3"#TEXT 3#/span##/h4# #div class="verse"# #dl##dd#adyaiva rājyaṁ balam ṛddha-kośaṁ#/dd# #dd#prakopita-brahma-kulānalo me#/dd# #dd#dahatv abhadrasya punar na me 'bhūt#/dd# #dd#pāpīyasī dhīr dvija-deva-gobhyaḥ#/dd##/dl# #/div# #h4##span class="mw-headline" id="SYNONYMS"#SYNONYMS#/span##/h4# #div class="synonyms"# #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=adya&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#adya#/i# — this day; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=eva&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#eva#/i# — on the very; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=rājyam&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#rājyam#/i# — kingdom; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=balam&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#balam #a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=ṛddha&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#ṛddha#/i# — strength and riches; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=kośam&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#kośam#/i# — treasury; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=prakopita&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#prakopita#/i# — ignited by; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=brahma&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#brahma-#a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=kula&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#kula#/i# — by the #i#brāhmaṇa#/i# community; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=analaḥ&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#analaḥ#/i# — fire; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=me&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#me #a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=dahatu&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#dahatu#/i# — let it burn me; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=abhadrasya&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#abhadrasya#/i# — inauspiciousness; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=punaḥ&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#punaḥ#/i# — again; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=na&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#na#/i# — not; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=me&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#me#/i# — unto me; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=abhūt&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#abhūt#/i# — may occur; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=pāpīyasī&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#pāpīyasī#/i# — sinful; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=dhīḥ&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#dhīḥ#/i# — intelligence; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=dvija&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#dvija#/i# — #i#brāhmaṇas#/i#; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=deva&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#deva#/i# — the Supreme Lord; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=gobhyaḥ&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#gobhyaḥ#/i# — and the cows. #/div# #h4##span class="mw-headline" id="TRANSLATION"#TRANSLATION#/span##/h4# #div class="translation"# I am uncivilized and sinful due to my neglect of brahminical culture, God consciousness and cow protection.
