First of all he concentrated all actions of the senses amalgamated in the mind or in other words he turned his mind towards transcendental service of the Lord. He prayed to mind that all material activities were performed by the mind the action and reactions of the material senses and since he was going back to home and back to Godhead the mind may wind up its material activities and be turned towards the transcendental service of the Lord. There was no more necessity of material activities. Actually the activities of the mind cannot be stopped because it is the reflection of the eternal soul but the quality of the activities can be changed from matter to transcendental service of the Lord. The material colour of the mind is changed by washing it off from the contamination of life-breathing and thereby getting it freed from the contamination of repetition of birth and death being situated in pure spiritual life. The whole thing is manifested by the temporary embodiment of material body which is a production of mind at the time of death and if the mind is purified by practice of transcendental loving service of the Lord, and the same is constantly engaged in the service of the Lotus Feet of the Lord, there is no more any chance of the mind's producing another material body after death, but being freed from the absorption of material contamination the pure soul is able to return back to home back to Godhead. #/div# #/div# please wait#div class="mw-parser-output"##p class="mw-empty-elt"# #h4##span class="mw-headline" id="TEXT_41"#TEXT 41#/span##/h4# #div class="verse"# #dl##dd#vācaṁ juhāva manasi#/dd# #dd#tat prāṇa itare ca tam#/dd# #dd#mṛtyāv apānaṁ sotsargaṁ#/dd# #dd#taṁ pañcatve hy ajohavīt#/dd##/dl# #/div# #h4##span class="mw-headline" id="SYNONYMS"#SYNONYMS#/span##/h4# #div class="synonyms"# #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=vācam&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#vācam#/i# — speeches; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=juhāva&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#juhāva#/i# — relinquished; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=manasi&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#manasi#/i# — into the mind; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=tat&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#tat #a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=prāṇe&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#prāṇe#/i# — mind into breathing; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=itare&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#itare #a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=ca&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#ca#/i# — other senses also; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=tam&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#tam#/i# — into that; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=mṛtyau&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#mṛtyau#/i# — into death; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=apānam&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#apānam#/i# — breathing; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=sa&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#sa-#a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=utsargam&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#utsargam#/i# — with all dedication; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=tam&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#tam#/i# — that; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=pañcatve&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#pañcatve#/i# — into the body made of five elements; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=hi&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#hi#/i# — certainly; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=ajohavīt&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#ajohavīt#/i# — amalgamated it. #/div# #h4##span class="mw-headline" id="TRANSLATION"#TRANSLATION#/span##/h4# #div class="translation"# Then he amalgamated all the sense organs into the mind, then the mind into life, life into breathing, his total existence into the embodiment of the five elements, and his body into death.
