In this age, the Lord is manifest through wood as Lord Jagannātha, and He is manifest through water as the River Ganges. Therefore Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu ordered the two brothers-Sārvabhauma Bhaṭṭācārya and Vidyā-vācaspati-to worship Lord Jagannātha and the River Ganges. #/div# #/div# please wait#div class="mw-parser-output"# #h4##span class="mw-headline" id="TEXT_135"#TEXT 135#/span##/h4# #div class="verse"# #dl##dd#‘dāru-brahma’-rūpe—sākṣāt śrī-puruṣottama#/dd# #dd#bhāgīrathī hana sākṣāt ‘jala-brahma’-sama#/dd##/dl# #/div# #h4##span class="mw-headline" id="SYNONYMS"#SYNONYMS#/span##/h4# #div class="synonyms"# #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=dāru&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#dāru-#a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=brahma&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#brahma-#a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=rūpe&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#rūpe#/i# — #i#in the form of Brahman as wood; #/i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=sākṣāt&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#sākṣāt#i# — directly; #/i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=śrī&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#śrī-#a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=puruṣottama&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#puruṣottama#i# — Lord Jagannātha; #/i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=bhāgīrathī&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#bhāgīrathī#i# — the river Ganges; #/i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=hana&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#hana#i# — is; #/i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=sākṣāt&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#sākṣāt#i# — directly; #/i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=jala&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#jala-#a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=brahma&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#brahma-#a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=sama&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#sama#i# — the Supreme in the form of water.#/i# #/div# #h4##span class="mw-headline" id="TRANSLATION"#TRANSLATION#/span##/h4# #div class="translation"# “Lord Jagannātha is the Supreme Lord Himself in the form of wood, and the river Ganges is the Supreme Lord Himself in the form of water. #/div# #h4##span class="mw-headline" id="PURPORT"#PURPORT#/span##/h4# #div class="purport"# The #i#Vedas#/i# enjoin, #i#sarvaṁ khalv idaṁ brahma#/i#: everything is the energy of the Supreme Personality of Godhead, the Supreme Brahman or Parambrahma. #i#Parasya brahmaṇaḥ śaktis tathedam akhilaṁ jagat:#/i# everything is a manifestation of the energy of the Supreme Brahman.
