Mahārāja Yudhiṣṭhira was receiving his saintly uncle Vidura, who had been visiting sacred places of pilgrimage. Mahārāja Yudhiṣṭhira told Vidura that pure devotees like him are personified holy places because the Supreme Personality of Godhead is always with them in their hearts. By their association, sinful persons are freed from sinful reactions, and therefore wherever a pure devotee goes is a sacred place of pilgrimage. The importance of holy places is due to the presence there of such pure devotees. #/div# #/div# please wait#div class="mw-parser-output"# #h4##span class="mw-headline" id="TEXT_63"#TEXT 63#/span##/h4# #div class="verse"# #dl##dd#bhavad-vidhā bhāgavatās#/dd# #dd#tīrtha-bhūtāḥ svayaṁ vibho#/dd# #dd#tīrthī-kurvanti tīrthāni#/dd# #dd#svāntaḥ-sthena gadā-bhṛtā#/dd##/dl# #/div# #h4##span class="mw-headline" id="SYNONYMS"#SYNONYMS#/span##/h4# #div class="synonyms"# #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=bhavat&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#bhavat#/i# — your good self; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=vidhāḥ&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#vidhāḥ#/i# — like; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=bhāgavatāḥ&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#bhāgavatāḥ#/i# — devotees; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=tīrtha&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#tīrtha#/i# — holy places of pilgrimage; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=bhūtāḥ&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#bhūtāḥ#/i# — existing; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=svayam&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#svayam#/i# — themselves; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=vibho&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#vibho#/i# — O almighty one; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=tīrthī&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#tīrthī-#a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=kurvanti&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#kurvanti#/i# — make into holy places of pilgrimage; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=tīrthāni&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#tīrthāni#/i# — the holy places; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=sva&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#sva-#a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=antaḥ&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#antaḥ-#a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=sthena&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#sthena#/i# — being situated in their hearts; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=gadā&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#gadā-#a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=bhṛtā&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#bhṛtā#/i# — by the Personality of Godhead. #/div# #h4##span class="mw-headline" id="TRANSLATION"#TRANSLATION#/span##/h4# #div class="translation"# “Saints of your caliber are themselves places of pilgrimage.
