As one advances in devotional activities, the process becomes progressively clearer and more encouraging. Unless one gets this spiritual encouragement by following the instructions of the spiritual master, it is not possible to make advancement. Therefore, one's development of a taste for executing these instructions is the test of one's devotional service. Initially, a person must develop confidence by hearing the science of devotion from a qualified spiritual master. Then, as he associates with devotees and tries to adopt the means instructed by the spiritual master in his own life, his misgivings and other obstacles are vanquished by his execution of devotional service. Strong attachment for the transcendental service of the Lord develops as he continues listening to the messages of Godhead, and if he steadfastly proceeds in this way, he is certainly elevated to spontaneous love for the Supreme Personality of Godhead. #/div# #/div# please wait#div class="mw-parser-output"# #h4##span class="mw-headline" id="TEXT_60"#TEXT 60#/span##/h4# #div class="verse"# #dl##dd#satāṁ prasaṅgān mama vīrya-saṁvido#/dd# #dd#bhavanti hṛt-karṇa-rasāyanāḥ kathāḥ#/dd# #dd#taj-joṣaṇād āśv apavarga-vartmani#/dd# #dd#śraddhā ratir bhaktir anukramiṣyati#/dd##/dl# #/div# #h4##span class="mw-headline" id="SYNONYMS"#SYNONYMS#/span##/h4# #div class="synonyms"# #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=satām:&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#satām:#/i# — of the devotees; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=prasaṅgāt&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#prasaṅgāt#/i# — by intimate association; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=mama&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#mama#/i# — of Me; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=vīrya&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#vīrya-#a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=saṁvidaḥ&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#saṁvidaḥ#/i# — talks full of spiritual potency; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=bhavanti&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#bhavanti#/i# — appear; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=hṛt&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#hṛt#/i# — to the heart; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=karṇa&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#karṇa#/i# — and to the ears; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=rasa&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#rasa-#a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=āyanāḥ&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#āyanāḥ#/i# — a source of sweetness; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=kathāḥ&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#kathāḥ#/i# — talks; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=tat&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#tat#/i# — of them; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=joṣaṇāt&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#joṣaṇāt#/i# — from proper cultivation; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=āśu&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#āśu#/i# — quickly; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=apavarga&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#apavarga#/i# — of liberation; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=vartmani&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#vartmani#/i# — on the path; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=śraddhā&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#śraddhā#/i# — faith; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=ratiḥ&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#ratiḥ#/i# — attraction; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=bhaktiḥ&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#bhaktiḥ#/i# — love; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=anukramiṣyati&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#anukramiṣyati#/i# — will follow one after another. #/div# #h4##span class="mw-headline" id="TRANSLATION"#TRANSLATION#/span##/h4# #div class="translation"# “The spiritually powerful message of Godhead can be properly discussed only in a society of devotees, and it is greatly pleasing to hear in that association.
