A devotee of the Lord, constantly engaged in devotional service in Kṛṣṇa consciousness, perfect in self-realization, very quickly attains liberation in the Supreme. Owing to his complete knowledge in self-realization, he always remains in trance. To cite an analogous example of this: #/p# #dl##dd#darśana-dhyāna-saṁsparśair matsya-kūrma-vihaṅgamāḥ#/dd# #dd#svānya patyāni puṣṇanti tathāham api padmaja.#/dd##/dl# #p#"By vision, by meditation and by touch only do the fish, the tortoise and the birds maintain their offspring. Similarly do I also, O Padmaja!" #$p#The fish brings up its offspring simply by looking at them. The tortoise brings up its offspring simply by meditation. The eggs of the tortoise are laid on land, and the tortoise meditates on the eggs while in the water. Similarly, a devotee in Kṛṣṇa consciousness, although far away from the Lord's abode, can elevate himself to that abode simply by thinking of Him constantly-by engagement in Kṛṣṇa consciousness. He does not feel the pangs of material miseries; this state of life is called #i#brahma-nirvāṇa#/i#, or the absence of material miseries due to being constantly immersed in the Supreme. #/p# #/div# #/div# please wait#div class="mw-parser-output"# #h4##span class="mw-headline" id="TEXT_26"#TEXT 26#/span##/h4# #div class="devanagari"# #dl##dd#कामक्रोधविमुक्तानां यतीनां यतचेतसाम् ।#/dd# #dd#अभितो ब्रह्मनिर्वाणं वर्तते विदितात्मनाम् ॥२६॥#/dd##/dl# #/div# #div class="verse"# #dl##dd#kāma-krodha-vimuktānāṁ#/dd# #dd#yatīnāṁ yata-cetasām#/dd# #dd#abhito brahma-nirvāṇaṁ#/dd# #dd#vartate viditātmanām#/dd##/dl# #/div# #h4##span class="mw-headline" id="SYNONYMS"#SYNONYMS#/span##/h4# #div class="synonyms"# #p##i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=kāma&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#kāma#/i# — from desires; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=krodha&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#krodha#/i# — and anger; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=vimuktānām&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#vimuktānām#/i# — of those who are liberated; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=yatīnām&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#yatīnām#/i# — of the saintly persons; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=yata&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#yata-#a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=cetasām&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#cetasām#/i# — who have full control over the mind; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=abhitaḥ&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#abhitaḥ#/i# — assured in the near future; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=brahma&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#brahma-#a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=nirvāṇam&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#nirvāṇam#/i# — liberation in the Supreme; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=vartate&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#vartate#/i# — is there; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=vidita&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#vidita-#a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=ātmanām&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#ātmanām#/i# — of those who are self-realized. #/p# #/div# #h4##span class="mw-headline" id="TRANSLATION"#TRANSLATION#/span##/h4# #div class="translation"# #p#Those who are free from anger and all material desires, who are self-realized, self-disciplined and constantly endeavoring for perfection, are assured of liberation in the Supreme in the very near future. #/p# #/div# #h4##span class="mw-headline" id="PURPORT"#PURPORT#/span##/h4# #div class="purport"# #p#Of the saintly persons who are constantly engaged in striving toward salvation, one who is in Kṛṣṇa consciousness is the best of all.
