8 June, 1977

My dear Vidyapati Prabhu,

Please accept my obeisances. I have been instructed by His Divine Grace Srila Prabhupad to reply your letter to him dated 18th May, 1977.

Srila Prabhupad is not at all well now. The devotees are always going in a small group and chanting in front of him or else reading Srimad-Bhagavatam as he has requested us to do this. Srila Prabhupad says that whether he lives or dies it does not matter providing we follow closely his instructions. His Divine Grace did answer your previous letter but somehow or other it seems you have not received the reply. Prabhupad was very glad to know that you are helping in your own way to increase Lord Caitanya’s movement. It is certainly a very honorable thing to hold a job and to use the money which you earn to support a prasadam and kirtan center. There is no doubt that for this service Lord Caitanya will certainly benedict you. This was what Prabhupad said in his previous letter to you. So you should go on very enthusiastically distributing as much prasadam and inducing as many people as possible to engage in Harinama sankirtana.

Hoping this meets you well.

Your servant.
