7th June, 1977

From: Tamal Krishna

My dear Dixit Prabhu,

Please accept my humble obeisances. I have been instructed by His Divine Grace Srila Prabhupada to reply your letter dated 28th May, 1977. Srila Prabhupada’s health is somewhat critical and we will only know after another few days what the result of the treatment being administered by Dr. Ghose of Kodaikanal and one brahmacari masseur from the Gaudiya Math will have. Please pray to Krsna for Srila Prabhupada’s recovery.

The most important thing for your good self to do is to regularly chant 16 rounds daily and study very carefully Srila Prabhupada’s books. This will give you the strength and potency to be an effective preacher of Krsna consciousness. If you do these things it doesn’t matter where you are situated or what your occupational activity is; the net result will be that you will preach Krsna consciousness.

Hoping this meets you well.

Your servant,

Tamal Krsna Gosvami
Secretary to Srila Prabhupada
