20 April, 1977

From: Tamal Krishna

My dear Mamu Thakur Prabhu,

Please accept my obeisances. I beg to acknowledge receipt of your letter, undated, sent to the secretary of Srila Prabhupada.

Unfortunately there is no trace of any letter from Jayatirtha nor a copy of any letter to you in the secretary’s files. Therefore regarding your second initiation you will have to get the recommendation of your present temple president or a letter from either Jayatirtha or Srutadeva saying that they had formerly recommended you. If either of these can be gotten then surely Srila Prabhupada will accept you for brahmana initiation.

Hoping this meets you well.

Your servant,

Tamal Krsna Gosvami
Secretary to Srila Prabhupada
