He is not a dead stone. He must be working with thinking feeling and willing. But when he thinks, feels and wills, materially he becomes entangled one after another and conversely when he thinks feels and wills for the service of the Lord he becomes gradually freed from all entanglement. The more a person is engaged in the transcendental loving service of the Lord the more he acquires a hankering after it. That is the transcendental nature of Godly service. Material service has satiation whereas spiritual service of the Lord has no satiation neither any finishing goal. You may go on increasing your hankerings after the loving transcendental service of the Lord, and yet you will not find any satiation nor the end of it. By intense service of the Lord one can experience the presence of the Lord transcendentally in the direction of such service. Therefore seeing the Lord means being engaged in His service because His service and His person all are identical. The sincere devotee may go on with sincere purpose of service of the Lord and the Lord will give proper direction as to how and where it has to be done. There was no material desire of Narada and yet just to increase the intense desire for Lords audience He was so advised. #/div# #/div# please wait#div class="mw-parser-output"##p class="mw-empty-elt"# #h4##span class="mw-headline" id="TEXT_22"#TEXT 22#/span##/h4# #div class="verse"# #dl##dd#sakṛd yad darśitaṁ rūpam#/dd# #dd#etat kāmāya te 'nagha#/dd# #dd#mat-kāmaḥ śanakaiḥ sādhu#/dd# #dd#sarvān muñcati hṛc-chayān#/dd##/dl# #/div# #h4##span class="mw-headline" id="SYNONYMS"#SYNONYMS#/span##/h4# #div class="synonyms"# #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=sakṛt&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#sakṛt#/i# — once only; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=yat&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#yat#/i# — that; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=darśitam&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#darśitam#/i# — shown; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=rūpam&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#rūpam#/i# — form; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=etat&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#etat#/i# — this is; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=kāmāya&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#kāmāya#/i# — for hankerings; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=te&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#te#/i# — your; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=anagha&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#anagha#/i# — O virtuous one; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=mat&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#mat#/i# — Mine; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=kāmaḥ&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#kāmaḥ#/i# — desire; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=śanakaiḥ&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#śanakaiḥ#/i# — by increasing; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=sādhuḥ&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#sādhuḥ#/i# — devotee; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=sarvān&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#sarvān#/i# — all; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=muñcati&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#muñcati#/i# — gives away; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=hṛt&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#hṛt-#a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=śayān&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#śayān#/i# — material desires. #/div# #h4##span class="mw-headline" id="TRANSLATION"#TRANSLATION#/span##/h4# #div class="translation"# O virtuous one, you have only once seen My person, and this is just to increase your desire for Me, because the more you hanker for Me, the more you will be freed from all material desires. #/div# #h4##span class="mw-headline" id="PURPORT"#PURPORT#/span##/h4# #div class="purport"# A living being cannot be vacant of desires.
