And when he saw at last that Dhritarastra had left home without his knowledge even his sorrows had no bound. He was fully compassionate with Dhritarastra because in the game of the battle of Kuruksetra King Dhritarastra had lost everything men and money and at last the King and the queen had to go away from home in utter frustration. He studied the situation in his own way because he did not know that inner vision of Dhritarastra was awakened by Vidura and, therefore, he had left home in enthusiatic cheerfulness for a better life after departure from the dark well of home. Unless one is convinced of a better life after renuciation of the present life nobody can stick to the renounced order of life simply by artificial dress or staying out of home. #/div# #/div# please wait#div class="mw-parser-output"##p class="mw-empty-elt"# #h4##span class="mw-headline" id="TEXT_35"#TEXT 35#/span##/h4# #div class="verse"# #dl##dd#sūta uvāca#/dd# #dd#kṛpayā sneha-vaiklavyāt#/dd# #dd#sūto viraha-karśitaḥ#/dd# #dd#ātmeśvaram acakṣāṇo#/dd# #dd#na pratyāhātipīḍitaḥ#/dd##/dl# #/div# #h4##span class="mw-headline" id="SYNONYMS"#SYNONYMS#/span##/h4# #div class="synonyms"# #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=sūtaḥ&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#sūtaḥ #a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=uvāca&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#uvāca#/i# — Sūta Gosvāmī said; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=kṛpayā&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#kṛpayā#/i# — out of full compassion; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=sneha&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#sneha-#a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=vaiklavyāt&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#vaiklavyāt#/i# — mental derangement due to profound affection; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=sūtaḥ&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#sūtaḥ#/i# — Sañjaya; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=viraha&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#viraha-#a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=karśitaḥ&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#karśitaḥ#/i# — distressed by separation; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=ātma&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#ātma-#a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=īśvaram&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#īśvaram#/i# — his master; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=acakṣāṇaḥ&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#acakṣāṇaḥ#/i# — having not seen; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=na&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#na#/i# — did not; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=pratyāha&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#pratyāha#/i# — replied; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=ati&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#ati-#a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=pīḍitaḥ&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#pīḍitaḥ#/i# — being too aggrieved. #/div# #h4##span class="mw-headline" id="TRANSLATION"#TRANSLATION#/span##/h4# #div class="translation"# Sūta Gosvāmī said: Because of compassion and mental agitation, Sañjaya, not having seen his own master, Dhṛtarāṣṭra, was aggrieved and could not properly reply to Mahārāja Yudhiṣṭhira. #/div# #h4##span class="mw-headline" id="PURPORT"#PURPORT#/span##/h4# #div class="purport"# Sañjaya was the personal assistant of Mahārāja Dhṛtarāṣṭra for a very long time, and thus he had the opportunity to study the life of Dhṛtarāṣṭra.
