The great sages offered to speaker of Bhagwat a respectful elevated seat for comfortable accomodation. Such seat is called the Vyasa Asana or the seat of Sri Vyasadeva. Sri Vyasadeva is the original spiritual preceptor for all men. And all other preceptors are considered to be His representative. Representative means one who can exactly present the view point of Sri Vyasadeva. Sri Vyasadeva impregnated the message of Bhagwatam unto Srila Suka Deva Goswami and Sri Suta Goswami heard it from him (Sri Suka Deva Goswami). All bonafide representatives of Sri Vyasdeva in the right chain of desciplic succession are to be understood as Goswamins because such Goswamins restrain all the senses from being deviated from the path of previous Acharyas. The Goswamins do not deliver lectures on Bhagwat capriciously but they execute the service most carefully with regard for his predicessor who delivered the spiritual message unbroken. #$p#The listeners of the Bhagwat from such bonafide representative of Sri Vyasdeva may put questions to the speaker for eliciting the clear meaning but it must not be done in challenging spirit but must be submitted with great regard for the speaker and the subject matter. That is the way recommended in the Bhagwat Geeta. One must learn the transcendental subject by submissive aural reception and that also from the right sources. And thus the sages asked the speaker with great respect. #/div# #/div# please wait#div class="mw-parser-output"##p class="mw-empty-elt"# #h4##span class="mw-headline" id="TEXT_5"#TEXT 5#/span##/h4# #div class="verse"# #dl##dd#ta ekadā tu munayaḥ#/dd# #dd#prātar huta-hutāgnayaḥ#/dd# #dd#sat-kṛtaṁ sūtam āsīnaṁ#/dd# #dd#papracchur idam ādarāt#/dd##/dl# #/div# #h4##span class="mw-headline" id="SYNONYMS"#SYNONYMS#/span##/h4# #div class="synonyms"# #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=te&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#te#/i# — the sages; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=ekadā&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#ekadā#/i# — one day; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=tu&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#tu#/i# — but; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=munayaḥ&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#munayaḥ#/i# — sages; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=prātaḥ&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#prātaḥ#/i# — morning; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=huta&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#huta#/i# — burning; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=huta&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#huta-#a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=agnayaḥ&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#agnayaḥ#/i# — the sacrificial fire; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=sat&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#sat-#a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=kṛtam&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#kṛtam#/i# — due respects; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=sūtam&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#sūtam#/i# — Śrī Sūta Gosvāmī; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=āsīnam&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#āsīnam#/i# — seated on; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=papracchuḥ&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#papracchuḥ#/i# — made inquiries; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=idam&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#idam#/i# — on this (as follows); #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=ādarāt&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#ādarāt#/i# — with due regards. #/div# #h4##span class="mw-headline" id="TRANSLATION"#TRANSLATION#/span##/h4# #div class="translation"# One day, after finishing their morning duties by burning a sacrificial fire and offering a seat of esteem to Śrīla Sūta Gosvāmī, the great sages made inquiries, with great respect, about the following matters. #/div# #h4##span class="mw-headline" id="PURPORT"#PURPORT#/span##/h4# #div class="purport"# Morning is the best time to hold spiritual services.
