Sense gratification is the root cause of material existence; therefore, unless and until one is situated on a platform apart from sense gratification, there is no chance of being elevated to the eternal platform of full knowledge, full bliss and full life. This platform is in the eternal atmosphere, or Brahman atmosphere. All the above-mentioned sacrifices help one to become cleansed of the sinful reactions of material existence. By this advancement in life, one not only becomes happy and opulent in this life, but also, at the end, he enters into the eternal kingdom of God, either merging into the impersonal Brahman or associating with the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Kṛṣṇa. #/p# #/div# #/div# please wait#div class="mw-parser-output"# #h4##span class="mw-headline" id="TEXT_30"#TEXT 30#/span##/h4# #div class="devanagari"# #dl##dd#सर्वेऽप्येते यज्ञविदो यज्ञक्षपितकल्मषाः ।#/dd# #dd#यज्ञशिष्टामृत भुजो यान्ति ब्रह्मा सनातनम् ॥३०॥#/dd##/dl# #/div# #div class="verse"# #dl##dd#sarve 'py ete yajña-vido#/dd# #dd#yajña-kṣapita-kalmaṣāḥ#/dd# #dd#yajña-śiṣṭāmṛta-bhujo#/dd# #dd#yānti brahma sanātanam#/dd##/dl# #/div# #h4##span class="mw-headline" id="SYNONYMS"#SYNONYMS#/span##/h4# #div class="synonyms"# #p##i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=sarve&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#sarve#/i# — all; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=api&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#api#/i# — although apparently different; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=ete&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#ete#/i# — these; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=yajña&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#yajña-#a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=vidaḥ&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#vidaḥ#/i# — conversant with the purpose of performing sacrifices; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=yajña&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#yajña-#a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=kṣapita&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#kṣapita#/i# — being cleansed as the result of such performances; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=kalmaṣāḥ&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#kalmaṣāḥ#/i# — of sinful reactions; #i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=yajña&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#yajña-#a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=śiṣṭa&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#śiṣṭa#/i# — of the result of such performances of #i#yajña; #/i# #a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=amṛta&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#amṛta-#a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=bhujaḥ&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#bhujaḥ#i# — those who have tasted such nectar; #/i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=yānti&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#yānti#i# — do approach; #/i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=brahma&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#brahma#i# — the supreme; #/i##a target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external text" href="//vanipedia.org/wiki/Special:VaniSearch?s=sanātanam&tab=syno_o&ds=1"#sanātanam#i# — eternal atmosphere.#/i# #/p# #/div# #h4##span class="mw-headline" id="TRANSLATION"#TRANSLATION#/span##/h4# #div class="translation"# #p#All these performers who know the meaning of sacrifice become cleansed of sinful reactions, and, having tasted the nectar of the results of sacrifices, they advance toward the supreme eternal atmosphere. #/p# #/div# #h4##span class="mw-headline" id="PURPORT"#PURPORT#/span##/h4# #div class="purport"# #p#From the foregoing explanation of different types of sacrifice (namely sacrifice of one's possessions, study of the #i#Vedas#/i# or philosophical doctrines, and performance of the #i#yoga#/i# system), it is found that the common aim of all is to control the senses.
